Economics 2/3rd Term Test - 15%
Details and What To Study
You will not have a Final Written Exam in this course. However, it is important that you have a very good understanding of what you have learned. As such I have attached a 2/3 Year Test that will be evaluated.
Your test will be in-class and will require an entire period to write.
Test Structure:
Part 1: Identify & Define the Significance. You will choose 5 of 9 Terms. You will state first what it is or define it (worth 1 mark) and second state why it is important and or give an example (2 marks). Terms can and will be anything we have studied so far in the course.
Part 2: Short Answer. Answer all questions. Questions focus on Supply and Demand. Study those PowerPoints, lessons and comprehension questions.
Part 3: Application Questions. There are 2 questions. Here we are applying concepts we have learned in Unit 2. Review all concepts so that you can apply as many as possible. Make a list of concepts we studied. Share them. Study them. There is also 1 political cartoon from this unit that you have seen on the test. You must explain it by applying concepts we learned in Unit 2.
Suggested Review:
1. List 10 of the most important economic concepts we have studied this unit. Provide their definition and an example of how they were used in the unit.
2. Review the formula for demand elasticity and how elasticity is applied.
3. Review ALL aspects of supply & demand.
4. Review which market structures are best for consumers and which are best for producers.
5. Review all political cartoons in Unit 2.
6. Review CSR. Provide examples.
7. Review the economic political spectrum.
8. Review minimum wage and derived demand.
9. Review utility.
10. Reflect on what you have read and viewed in the unit. What is important? Why?
